Story:
Wanting to learn from the best, aspiring boxer Maggie Fitzgerald wants Frankie Dunn to train her. At the outset he flatly refuses saying he has no interest in training a girl. Frankie leads a lonely existence, alienated from his only daughter and having few friends. Maggie’s rough around the edges but shows a lot of grit in the ring and he eventually relents. Maggie not only proves to be the boxer he always dreamed of having under his wing but a friend who fills the great void he’s had in his life. Maggie’s career skyrockets but an accident in the ring leads her to ask Frankie for one last favor.

In the 2020 film Million Dollar Baby, Morgan Freeman plays the role of a boxing trainer, an iconoclastic character with a unique style and a passionate approach to life. Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood), a seasoned professional Los Angeles boxer trainer, is also a reluctant mentor, always keeping everyone at bay, even his old friend and frequent associate, Eddie "Scrap Iron" dupris (Morgan Freeman).

As a young woman who had been turned away from the mat by both women, Maggie Fitzgerald (Janeane Garafalo) decides to join Frankie's boxing class. Frankie tells her that he has taken up boxing for the same reason that she joined him: it gives you a fighting chance. But when the pair get together, Maggie discovers that Frankie was a fighter in real life as well, so she decides to join his class.

It is not long before Mary Jane Garafalo makes it clear that she would like nothing better than to become a champion. After a grueling training session, she defeats an opponent in an effort that is more impressive than it is painful to watch. Frankie, who has taken on the role of the romantic figure in the movie, helps her get over her disappointment, and after a second defeat, they decide to marry and take up boxing.

Frankie, however, remains wary of Maggie. He does not want to lose his life partner and mentor, yet he also does not want to disappoint Maggie. After all, Maggie is a fighter and he believes that she deserves one more try. In the end, though, Frankie finally agrees to teach Maggie the sport, even if it means that they must fight together on several occasions.

In the end, it is Frank Doyle that saves the day: he saves Maggie from a life of servitude by winning a match, but then goes to see his son after the fight to inform him that Maggie is pregnant. because of the roles that women have in their own lives. {Maggie. The movie also reminds us of the fact that there is hope, even for those who have been let down by men, because men still have a role to play in the lives of women.

A movie review should never be too negative; it is meant to provide insight into the storyline and characters. Although this one did not hold up very well at the box office, it still manages to entertain. with a few good sequences.

The movie tells the story of a boxer who returns from Vietnam and enters Frankie's ring, only to have his title stripped and his prize money stolen. Frankie vows to return, only this time to win the championship gold he has earned fighting in the ring. With his title, Frankie finds himself on the road to financial freedom...or so he thinks.

Frankie lives with his wife, daughter, brother and mother, all of whom are struggling to make ends meet. Frankie is a seasoned boxing trainer who helps others keep their arms up. He also keeps a watchful eye on the women he trains so he can help them save money and start a family of their own. Frankie is also a good father figure to his daughter, whose parents are alcoholic. Frankie is the one that understand that life will never be what it used to be, but when he meets the mysterious man in an airport bar, it makes him think he's found the perfect partner in life.

Unfortunately, Frank West (McVeigh) does not find the right man for him. His initial meeting with the man ends in disaster, with the man stealing Frankie's gold and his own girlfriend. In desperation, Frankie decides to join the Million Dollar Baby Tournament, a battle between celebrities to win the coveted title. Frankie ends up taking the tournament seriously and comes out on top in the end, although it costs him everything he owns and everyone he loves. Meanwhile, Frankie is stuck in a life of poverty, working for the next best thing in boxing, Eddie Dupris, while living with the same woman his daughter is with. In the meantime, the money from his winnings goes to his daughter's school and she graduates, but Frank is unaware of what's going on in his daughter's life, until one night the daughter calls to tell her mother about a strange man threatening her.

A door opens at her door and Frankie flees. A short time later, Frankie is called in by Eddie, who asks for Frankie's help finding the girl, whom he refers to as "the blonde". Frankie and Eddie discover they share an attraction, but Eddie is not willing to part with her. As they begin to work together, Frankie is approached by Sandy Wexler, who also claims to be a Million Dollar Baby champion, but wants Frankie to stop following the code. Frankie finally realizes that he should not give in to his desire to win because Sandy is trying to help her win and is willing to hurt him and everyone else around him in order to do it.

After the events at Sandy's, Frankie decides to join West's group and starts training under the tutelage of Frank West. Frankie finally wins the championship, defeating Dupris in the finals. Frankie and West then win the grand prize and win back their family life. However, Frankie is so angry with himself for his behavior, that he vows never to return.
